Annual
Open House
The
Mundelein Fire Department will be hosting its annual open house
on Sunday, September 20th from 10am until 2pm.
Join
the Mundelein Fire Department for the best Open House ever in support of
Home Safety Month,
National Preparedness Month and
Fire Prevention Week.
Come
and see a dog search and
rescue team, helicopters, learn about fire safety, watch a
sprinkler demonstration and more.

31st
Annual Swap Meet
Saturday October 31st, 2009 the Mundelein Firefighter's Association
hosts the largest swap meet in the Midwest dedicated to fire equipment.
We have had vendors and buyers from all over the country buying and
selling books, magazines, collectibles, t-shirts, sweatshirts, toys,
tools, equipment and much, much, more.

Texas
Hold'em Tournament
The
Mundelein Centennial Committee is hosting a Texas Hold ‘Em Event on
Saturday, September 12th from 5pm until Midnight at the
Santa Maria Parish Center.
All
proceeds from this event will go towards the refinishing of “Old #1” the
1925 Stoughton that was donated by Cardinal Mundelein to the Fire
Department.

Community Emergency Response Team Class
The
Mundelein Fire Department is holding a class for members of the
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). CERT is a program
designed to train citizens to help themselves and then in turn help
others in their neighborhood, workplace, etc. if there is a disaster
that hinders Emergency Responders in any way.
The
next class will be held at the Headquarters Fire Station at
1000 N Midlothian Rd, Mundelein, Illinois, 60060. Friday,
Saturday & Sunday,
September 11th from 6pm until 10pm, 12th 8am until 4pm & 13th
from 8am until 3pm.

1925 Stoughton Fund Raiser
You can own a bit of Mundelein Fire history and help
restore Engine 1.
The Mundelein Fire Department in conjunction with the
Centennial Committee is selling replica fire trucks to
help raise funds for the restoration of the 1925
Stoughton.
The fire trucks are $20 each.
To make a purchase while supplies last stop by
Mundelein Fire Station
1, 1000 N. Midlothian between 8:00 am and 5:00pm,
Monday thru Friday.
The Department is also selling a commemorative
t-shirt of the 1925 Stoughton for $20.
Donations to underwrite the cost of restoring this
historic fire engine are tax deductible and greatly
appreciated.
